Tandem is now recruiting a PROGRAM MANAGER and MARKETING COORDINATOR for Spring 2018. All positions are paid!

Tandem’s Program Manager is the core person in charge of driving the program forward. This person will be motivated and driven to grow the program and keep the momentum going beyond this year. This role will be a hands-on traineeship. Tasks will include:

• Overseeing long-term strategy, including furthering partnerships across campus and New Haven (IRIS, New Haven Public Schools, and local coffee shops)
• Overseeing one or two Tandem sessions per week (especially in February) to ensure everything is running smoothly
• Managing administration (e.g. email management, matching process, logistics)
• Spearheading fundraising, marketing/branding, and implementation of new initiatives
• Work with the core team to develop Tandem into a scalable social enterprise, including developing the business model (e.g. to apply for the Thorne Prize for Social Innovation in Health or Education)

• Plans to stay at Yale for at least one more year (e.g. freshman, sophomore, or junior year)
• 4 hrs per week
• Work authorization to work on campus
• Excellent strategy (including long-term strategy) and managerial skills to drive the program forward
• Ability to effectively interface with various institutions on campus for Tandem external relations


The Marketing Coordinator will:
• Maintain the website and the social media channels
Produce posters/visual media
• Document Tandem session and events through video and photos
• At the beginning of the year, the work revolves around advertising the program extensively via email marketing

• Work authorization to work on campus
• 2 hrs per week
Proactive, creative, and a go-getter
• Social media savvy
• Experienced in marketing for campus initiatives
• Video and photo experience are considered a plus
